Mr_19 set my out on a quest to change the smallish + signs on the medi-beam(and overheal) to say battle, after 8 hours of trying to figure out how to create and use Alpha Channels I have won:
(for all who would enjoy this please follow instructions EXACTLY)
Step two-- put the Battlesign.VTF and Battlesign.VMF in your "My Computer> C: Drive> Program Files> Steam> Steamapps> (YOUR USERNAME)> Teamfortress 2> tf> Materials*> Effects" *Place the files into Materials, and also in materials>effects.
Step three--put the "medicgun_attrib.pcf", "medicgun_beam.pcf", and the "medicgun_beam_dx80.pcf" in "My Computer> C: Drive> Program Files> Steam> Steamapps> (YOUR USERNAME)> Teamfortress 2> tf> Particles"
Actually, I use the BATTLE medic hes advertising here and its actually really good quality. Its TF2 fount and all sizes aren't pixilated. from the medibeam spitting out BATTLEs to mini BATTLES floating around you when you are overhealed it looks good.
Downloaded, it works great. I love it, good work Alon~! I edited Alon's post to include more detailed instructions; NKB, myself, and a few others were rather confused by the materials/effects bit, so I cleared it up. For the record, you need the Battlesign.vmt/vtf files in both the Materials Folder and the Effects folder!
